The Perfect Day
Winter vacationers will love this place, you can wake up, have a morning cup of coffee, pack up the car, and be on the slopes in no time at all. Golfers will love it as well, the Mt. Snow golf course is less than a half a mile away!
Enjoy the crisp, cool, fresh Vermont air as you enjoy that cup of coffee or tea, and cook up breakfast or brunch in the large kitchen, and serve as the rest of the house gets ready for the day. Then it is off to the day’s activity, which can be a morning session on the slopes and an afternoon of board games, or a round of golf in the midday followed by a great early dinner at the course’s exquisite restaurant.
If you would rather stay in, pick up a comfy place by the sofa and put on a fire, and with the soul-soothing warmth and glow of the wood as each fresh piece crackles as it starts to burn, grab a warm beverage and let your mind get lost in a great novel. For the artists, bring out the typewriter or laptop and get working on the next great American book, or you can find a vista to sketch or paint.
After a long day of fun and relaxation, if dinner plans have not already been made, you can grill up your favorite meats and veggies on the BBQ, or put in a roast in the oven, and have some family time. Then, as the eyes start to get sleepy, prepare for a great night sleep in your comfortable bed!
Location, location, location! Minutes to the Mt. Snow slopes, and only a half a mile from the Mt. Snow golf course, the beauty of this home is the fact you won’t have to spend a lot of time traveling, if you do not want to.
Up and down Route 100 is everything you need. There are grocery and convenience stores where you can buy your favorite foods, but for a real Vermont treat, check out any one of a number of family farms that sell the freshest produce, eggs, baked goods, and meats, all of which you can take back to the house and use in your meals! And if you decided to book between June and October, and love berries, you are in for a treat, for they will be in season, and many farms offer pick-your-own.
For those who like to pair their meals, cheeses, and snacks with wines and beers, there are wineries and breweries to tour, or you can purchase the local products in the shoppettes. All of which supports the local economy, as does browsing the local art galleries and shops. They make great thank you gifts for friends, family, or the house/pet sitter, or are a great memento of your amazing time in Vermont.
For the visitors in fall, here to see and smell the changing leaves, there are plenty of trails to hike down, country roads to drive, and mountain vistas to look around. For the sportsmen and sportswomen, there are lakes and rivers to fish, or to go rafting and tubing and boating. Each season also has its festivals and fairs, which also support the local economy, and provide fun for the whole group, of any age.
For those looking for convenience and to be close to the best Vermont has to offer, you can’t go wrong with our home! We know you will love your stay and bring home a ton of great memories.
