About the property
An absolutely lovely, recently renovated home in the Poconos that is close to everything and sleeps 10, ideal for a family or group of friends looking for skiing in winter, golfing and fishing in spring and summer, and to view the great Pocono fall foliage in autumn. For golf enthusiasts, that home is less than a mile to the Pinecrest Lake Golf Course, and the Poconos have courses for all skill levels and abilities! Whether you are looking to relax and escape to the Poconos, or looking for an active vacation, this great home can accommodate it all!
The home was recently renovated, using only the best materials and appliances. The kitchen has tons of granite countertop space and is stocked with the things you need to making cooking for your crew a pleasure. Chefs will be able to show off their culinary skills! There is a center island, perfect for serving breakfast, and a large dining room table is next to the kitchen.
There are five bedrooms with fresh linens provided, three bathrooms and one half-bath, stocked with towels and paper products for your stay. There is plenty of space for 10 guests to stay comfortably.
The living room has a high ceiling, a large couch, a fireplace, and a large flat screen TV, perfect for having a conversation around a crackling fire, or catching a playoff game in between adventures in the Poconos! There is Wi-Fi and a video library as well if you wish to host a movie night.
Each room is tastefully decorated with art and knick-knacks, the beds are comfortable, and there are large windows to let in plenty of natural light. We know you are going to love it!
The Perfect Day
Make sure your sunrise golfing reservation is set, then the morning of, wake up at a reasonable time with a great cup of your favorite coffee or tea, then head to the course that is only a minute away! And, because you golfed in the morning, that means you will have all afternoon to spend relaxing, fishing, or spending the day with the family. Of course, you can always do an afternoon round, as well!
For skiers visiting during winter, Big Boulder is about twenty minutes away, meaning you can have two ski sessions, one in the morning, one in the evening, and spend the midday resting those muscles and grabbing lunch at the house.
Non-golfers in summer also have plenty to do. Schedule your visit for when NASCAR is at the Pocono Raceway, or you can go to see airshows, or see cars and pick up merchandise with the kids. There is also paintballing at Skirmish Paintball, which is a lot of fun for all ages and genders, and a great way to relieve stress, get some exercise and team build!
For visitors in the fall looking to see some outstanding foliage as the area prepares for the coming winter, there are lots of gorgeous mountain roads, and plenty of national forests and places to hike. A great way to get exercise, as well as smell and feel the changing season.
For dinner, you can go to any number of great restaurants and bars, or you can use the state-of-the-art kitchen and serve up a feast, adults can pair the meal with local wines and brews. Then it is time for bed, and rest up for another great day of fun in the Poconos!
Pinecrest is basically your neighbor, it is less than a mile away which means you don’t have to wake up super early to make your morning tee times. There are nearly a dozen golf courses in the Poconos, which means there is something for everyone, all skill levels and handicaps. For skiers, Big Boulder is in the area, as is Camelback Mountain and Jack Frost.
The Poconos has a growing winery and microbrewery industry, they offer tastings and products to purchase to ensure each meal and toast you have during your stay is a real slice of local culture.
There is NASCAR, IndyCar, airshows and more at the Pocono Raceway, and they cater to families with kids as well. A great place to learn about cars, see them in action, pick up some sweet gear, and of course, have lots of fun!
The Poconos also has plenty of festivals and events year-round, from holiday brunches, buffets and dinners, to live music events, independent film festivals, open mic nights, and a whole lot more. There is something for every interest!
For the fishers, there are lakes and rivers that are open to anglers, those over 16 will need to purchase a permit. Rivers also offer tubing and whitewater rafting, and lakes have boating and places to play on the beach and sunbathe, as well.
For those who like to cook, there are chain grocery stores as well as locally owned and operated butchers and places to purchase produce, as well.
Those who like to game and gamble can head to Mount Airy, which is less than twenty minutes away, and has a golf course as well.
No matter your interests, as you can see, the home has plenty to offer in the area. Be it a relaxing vacation in, or one filled with physical exercise and adventure, your entire group will find something they love!
