About the property

This is a cozy cabin that sleeps 12 and is in a great location in the lovely town of West Dover. Perfect for any season, it is close to Mt. Snow for skiers, near great attractions for those visiting in spring and summer, and a great place for those looking to see the leaves change in autumn. The house can easily accommodate a large family or family reunion, a corporate retreat, large group of friends, or several families looking to vacation together. We know that you will love the place!

The Space

The cabin has six bedrooms and three bathrooms, and has enough space so that up to 12 guests can stay comfortably. Fresh linens, plenty of towels, and paper products are provided for your use. Two of the bathrooms have jacuzzi tubs, perfect for cleaning and soaking muscles after a fun day of physical activities!

Outside is a private hot tub, perfect year-round, but an especially nice treat during the winter when it snows after a day of skiing, or on any cool night with a clear sky. There is also a grass lawn, which makes for a nice place to have a friendly game of soccer or football, and is perfect for a game of catch or to throw the frisbee around.

The cabin has two kitchens and is stocked with appliances and the things you will need to cook for your group, and two large family rooms with fireplaces. The fireplaces keep the cabin nice and warm, and are a treat to read next to, or simply gaze into and watch the wood crackle and burn. There are TVs to keep you entertained and Wi-Fi to keep you connected.

The Perfect Day

Since Mt. Snow is only two minutes away, you can plan a very eclectic day of fun—ski for a little bit, come home and enjoy a fire to relax, head back to the slopes, head into town for a light lunch and a little shopping, then head back to the slopes. The choices and possibilities are endless!

A real Vermont treat is to have a morning cup of coffee or tea while watching the sunrise. Take a little walk around outside and let the clean, crisp air fill your lungs and fill you with an energy that is both invigorating and destressing. A morning soak in the hot tub is also not out of the question, either!

You can cook up a meal or two in the kitchen, or you can allow someone else to do the cooking and head into town. For those here during the spring, summer, and fall, there are plenty of activities to do—golfing, rafting, tubing, swimming, hiking, shopping, and exploring are all possibilities, and all are nearby. Route 100 is your friend, everything you need is a quick drive south!

End the day by the fire, not only to warm up, but as meditation, the natural warmth and beauty as that next piece of wood catches on fire and is slowly consumed will relax and inspire. Perhaps it is a good time to start working on that novel, or break out the sketch pad.

End the day with a soak in the hot tub, or enjoy some of your favorite beverages as you and your family and friends wind down and share the memories of the day. Then it is time for bed, and to get ready for yet another day of Vermont fun!

The Neighborhood

The location in incredible, a quick drive to Mt. Snow means you will not spend your vacation in the car. There are also two golf courses nearby, as well as plenty of parks, forests, lakes, rivers, streams, and vistas to explore—especially great in spring to see the renewal, and in autumn as the forest prepares for winter!

As previously mentioned, Route 100 will be your lifeline. Highly recommended is to visit the local family farms that sell the freshest and tastiest produce, eggs, meats, and baked goods, perfect for cooking at the cabin! There are also grocery and convenience stores where you can stock your kitchen refrigerator with meats for sandwiches, fruits and vegetables for snacks, and something to roast in the oven.

There are also local wineries and breweries, perfect for pairing with the treats you purchase at the local farms, or with your favorite meals. If you like to support local artists, there are galleries and shops from which to select for your family home, or as a present for a house/pet sitter or for those friends and family who were not able to make the trip (sad for them!) You can also shop, eat at a number of great restaurants, or have a drink at a local bar.

With so many choices, and the great location of the cabin, we know that your family or group of friends will have an absolutely amazing time, any time of year!

Great place for a group gathering, super close to Mount Snow

13 February 2019

Shannon W.

The house was cute and perfect for a group gathering because it was split up into two 'separate apartments' so those who didn't want to stay up late or wanted to sleep in could have one floor and the others could have the other floor.

The owner was very friendly and always got back to me in a timely manner. We spoke a few times before I arrived and he was very happy to assist in any way possible. The house to me was a typical ski rental. It's definitely perfect for a bunch of 20-30 year olds looking to relax for the weekend, nothing too fancy and that was fine with us. I did like the open layout in the kitchen/living room area and the house heated up really fast with the fireplaces. The jacuzzi was the definite selling point of the house. It was perfect after a day of skiing. The temperature got up to 104 within a matter of minutes.

There were fireplaces on both floors, and both were easy to use. I loved that two of the bathrooms in the house had jacuzzi tubs in them too that was amazing.

I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for a trip to Mt. Snow!

The house is literally 2 minutes from the mountain. I stayed in the house with 9 friends last weekend. There was plenty of room for everybody and more than enough beds. The place was clean and the hot tub was great! Dmitry answered all of our questions quickly. I would stay here again for another trip to Mt. Snow.

Great place and even better location

My friends and I always make a trip to the mountains every year. This year we had a group of 12. The place was great. One thing that made the trip better was Dmitry’s communication. I sent multiple messages in days leading up to the trip and while we were at the property and all of my questions were answered very quick. Pretty simple house but had everything we needed. There were towels, toilet paper, bed sheets, basically everything we needed. As well as a nice hot tub outside. The one major thing that made me like this property so much was the location. It was a 2 minute drive to the mountain! I highly recommend that you consider this house as one you would stay at.
