The Perfect Day
There is so much to choose from, it is hard to decide! A good problem to have, this location is ideal for those who like to have lots of variety in their vacation, and still perfect for those who prefer to spend their day at one activity. With everything so close, it can accommodate the wishes of everyone in your group, be it stay in and relax, go out and explore, or have an active vacation and sweat out the stress!
Waking up with a hot cup of coffee or tea, and taking in the fresh morning air as the sun rises is a Vermont treat that is very popular, and cannot be missed. If you prefer to sleep in, that is fine, brunch can be made in the kitchen, or there are several places you can stop and allow someone else to do the cooking.
You are so close to Mt. Snow you can have one long ski session, or a few short ones, listen to your body and do what is best. In between being on the mountain, you can shoot into town for a light lunch and some shopping, or head back to the condo and make sandwiches, then soak your muscles in the hot tub.
For those here in spring, summer, or fall, there is still more to do. Hiking, fishing, rafting, tubing, visiting local farms, berry picking, going to festivals, horse shoes, art fairs are all possibilities, and that list is not exhaustive.
After a fun day on the slopes, or in the forest, or in town, or simply lounging around and relaxing, you can bake your muscles in the sauna, or enjoy a lovely fire by the fireplace with a glass of your favorite beverage—perhaps something you picked up at a local winery or brewery. Then you can game, challenge friends and family to a game of pool or ping pong, with bragging rights on the line!
Then it is time for bed, but not before catching a beautiful sunset in the arms of a loved one, before sleep and rest for yet another day of amazing fun!
Route 100 is your lifeline to everything you need and every place you want to be in this lovely valley in Vermont. Mt. Snow is two minutes away, and two golf courses are also a short drive away as well.
Go south down the route to find local farms that offer the freshest produce, eggs, meats, cheese, and baked goods. If you visit from June to October, good news! That is berry picking season, and a real treat for the whole family. Tiny shops sell local wines and beers, which pair well with the produce you just purchased, and are also places to find that perfect knick-knack for the family home, or as a present for your house/pet sitter.
Also in the area are beautiful forests, filled with hiking trails, lakes, rivers, streams, and more. There you can find fishing, swimming, boating, rafting, tubing and, if you are here in fall, are great places to witness the wonderous fall spectacle as the leaves change and nature gets ready for the snow.
There are horse farms for those who love the equestrian, and summer is horse show season, a famous Vermont treat. Each season has its fairs and festivals, perfect fun for the whole family, and another great way to support the local economy.
This home and location has something for someone in your group, no matter how large, no matter what age! We know you will have an absolute blast and leave with many great memories that will last a lifetime!
