Vermont Log Home Luxury
About the property
This simply stunning and gorgeous property is the very definition of a luxury log home! Less than 10 minutes to both Bromley and Stratton Mountains, and 15 minutes to Manchester, you are squarely in the middle of the best Vermont has to offer in winter, summer and fall. Packed with amenities, including a hot tub that is open year-round, pool table, pinball machines, fireplaces and more, your group will be entertained from the minute you arrive. The home sleeps up to 20, which makes it ideal for families and friends looking to make some memories together!
The home is exquisitely decorated and designed in keeping with a luxury Vermont vacation home—large wood logs form the walls, exposed wooden beams over your head, and an amazing yellow-orangish hue of the lighting and wood will surround you. Cozy and spacious, rustic and luxurious, relaxing and exciting.
With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home sleeps 14 in beds and an addition 6 on sofa beds. Our professional cleaning crew provides fresh linens and towels for every group of guests. The cubby beds and bunks in the bedrooms on the ground floor are a favorite among children, and outside of their rooms is their own entertainment area with a TV and a classic Nintendo system. Parents get the master suite, with a private bathroom and king-sized bed.
On the main floor is the kitchen, fully stocked with the pots, pans, plates, and cutlery to prepare any meal. Great appliances, gorgeous wood countertops, and a delightful ambiance makes it a dream kitchen for any chef.
Next to the kitchen is the dining room table with a fireplace. On the other side of the kitchen is a sun room with a card table and seating. There is access to the backyard deck with a firepit and hot tub, which is open year-round and routinely maintained by a professional.
On the main floor, next to the dining room, is the great room, the place where groups will be spending most of their time. There is a pool table, shuffleboard, pinball machines, a bar, TVs, a fireplace, and large comfy couches!
The Perfect Day
Since you are close to everything, there are endless possibilities! Two mountains are a very short driving distance away, great for skiing in winter, and have tons to do in summer as well—hiking, ziplining, golfing, tubing and more!
While driving to and from the mountains, there will be farm stands where you can pick up delicious organic produce and meats, perfect for those home-cooked meals.
Manchester is also a very short drive away, you can head into one of Vermont’s best “little cities” for some great shopping, dining, and night life.
Then head home, and while the chef prepares a feast, the group can gather in the great room to play some pinball, shoot some pool, or watch the game. As the sun sets, consider taking a soak in the hot tub and sitting around the firepit, drinking your favorite beverage as the wood crackles in the dimming sunset. After dark, the adults can have a friendly game of poker on the card table while sampling a local Vermont brew.
Then, get a good night’s rest in the comfortable beds and prepare for another great day!
Stratton and Bromley Mountains are less than 10 minutes away, and Mt. Snow and Magic Mountain are a half an hour away, four great mountains that provide plenty of slopes for those longer ski trips. You are also a very short distance away from Stratton Village, a cozy little mountain base town that has shops and a bit of a nightlife for those who like to go out and make someone else do the cooking. You can also purchase or repair ski and snowboard equipment, or get some winter clothing that you may need.
Bondville and Rawsonville are also only minutes away, and Jamaica, which has amazing restaurants, shops, and stores with everything you need is less than twenty minutes by car. Every Vermont small village has the standard amenities—great places to get a sandwich or pick up a few things for the refrigerator, small shops, and so on—while having its own unique flavor.
Over the mountains and through the woods is Manchester, one of Vermont’s best towns that has great eateries, lovely art galleries and shops, Lincoln’s family home and museums to visit, an off-road driving school (Land Rover Driving Experience), and schools that teach fishing and shooting techniques, perfect for the sportsmen and sportswomen in the group.
Local farms offer incredibly fresh and delicious produce, eggs, meats, cheeses, and baked goods, perfect for use in the great kitchen! Berry picking season is from June to October, and the blueberry festival usually runs from late July to early August. Perfect in salads, pies, or just as a snacking handful, with plenty of varieties, from super sweet to sour.
You can pair your produce purchases and meals with local wines and beers, either directly from the wineries and breweries in Vermont if you are willing to travel, or in the shops you can find in town. It is a great way to support the local economy, and make great gifts for a house/pet sitter, or for friends and family who were not able to make the trip.
We know you will absolutely love this home, its incredible views and pristine location and privacy!
