About the property
Privacy and nature. Great amenities and location. This exquisite luxury log home is situated in the middle of 20 acres and has everything you need to make your vacation relaxing, fun, and one to remember. The estate has 10 bedrooms which sleep up to 27, surrounded by nature and close to the best Southern Vermont has to offer. Swimming pool, lake access, hot tub, sauna, two entertainment rooms, a game room, fast internet, and a fire pit. Perfect for large family gatherings, a group of friends, or a corporate retreat, we know you will love this home!
We have installed Starlink internet, which means your group will have superfast internet while in rural Vermont!
The Space
The home has ten bedrooms spread across the main house and guest house, with seven full bathrooms and one half bathroom. The master bedroom is en-suite with a jacuzzi tub, a private deck, and large flat screen TV. The beds will have fresh linens and towels upon your arrival, and the home is cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom by a group of professionals after every stay.
In the main house are two entertainment rooms, each with a wood fireplace, huge flat screen TVs, and plenty of seating. The ground floor entertainment room also has a wet bar with a refrigerator and dishwasher, and the sauna.
The kitchen has professional quality appliances with two ovens, a refrigerator and wine cooler, granite countertops, a Keurig and classic drip coffee machines, and is well stocked. Your chef will have the plates, cups, silverware, and cookware needed to prepare the feasts for your group.
In the guest house is two bedrooms and a wood-burning stove, and the game room. The Wi-Fi is fast (up to 40 mbps) and the signal is strong throughout both houses.
Outside is the swimming pool, which is heated from late June to early September, and a hot tub which is available year-round and is serviced professionally every week. There is also a top-of-the-line gas barbeque, plenty of furniture, and a fire pit. Two kayaks are also available for your group.
A very short drive (less than 1 minute) from the house is Harriman Reservoir, which has a landing for non-powered boats, picnic tables, a beach, swimming, fishing, and hiking trails. We have a couple of kayaks that you are more than welcome to use on the water.
For winter guests, the VAST network is also very close to the house.
We have a concierge service that would be more than happy to make your stay even more luxurious and relaxing. They can stock the home with groceries before you arrive, schedule private chefs, precooked meals, beer and wine tastings, schedule activities, bring in yoga instructors or massage therapists, and more. We will be happy to provide their contact information after a booking.
The Perfect Day
No matter what time of year your group decides to book our estate, there is plenty to do to fill up a day with adventure and relaxation.
After waking up, enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the peace and quiet afforded by being surrounded by woods on all sides, then cook up a brunch while your group prepares for the day.
For warm-weather guests, you can head down to Harriman Reservoir, where there is a great beach for swimming, kayaking, fishing, lazing out in the sun on the grassy areas, or go for a hike on the trails. Golfers have several courses nearby to choose from, there are also boat rentals, tons of trails, and the ski mountains have plenty to do such as hiking, zip lining, and more. Or, you can have a relaxing day on the estate, go for a swim in the pool, a soak in the hot tub, spend some time in the game room while watching the game, and more.
For winter guests, Mount Snow is an excellent mountain and is only ten miles away. You can also spend the time at the estate with a fire in the fireplace, wrapped up in a blanket with a classic novel and a glass of red wine, go for a soak in the hot tub, a steam in the sauna, and then watch a movie on one of the several huge flat screen TVs.
After the day is done, light a fire in the fire pit and enjoy your favorite beverage as the crackling fire keeps you warm as the Vermont night encloses around you. Allow a private chef to cook you up a meal, grill your favorite meats and veggies on the barbeque, or head into Wilmington and have a dinner at any one of a number of great restaurants. Then it is off to bed for a great night’s sleep!
The Neighborhood
The location of this vacation home is absolutely incredible. Harriman Reservoir is a short walk or even shorter drive, with plenty of parking, a ramp to put in the kayaks, charcoal grills, picnic tables, hiking trails, and plenty of grass and beachfront.
Wilmington is a charming Vermont town with tons of great restaurants and bars, a downtown area to walk and explore with artisan and artist shops, a supermarket, all of which is a mere three minutes away by car.
Mount Snow is ten miles away, which means you will not spend your entire vacation in the car going to and from the mountains. Great year-round, there are trails, golfing, zip lining, and of course, skiing and snowboarding.
Berry picking season is from June to October, a real treat for kids and adults alike. Farms in the area are organic and have the freshest produce, eggs, meats, cheeses, and baked goods. You can pair your purchases with a wine or beer tasting set up by our concierge, or pick up a local selection in the nearby shops and stores. Blueberry festivals usually run from late July to early August.
Another great way to support the local economy is by visiting art galleries and shops, perfect for finding that thank you present for a house/pet sitter, or for friends and family who could not make it (sad for them!) Or find that perfect memento for your home or office, a great way to remember the amazing time you had in Vermont!
There is great fishing in the area as well. All fishers over the age of 16 require licenses, and when you pick them up, grab a copy of the Vermont Fish and Game magazine for a great resource on the best places to fish, as well as important information, rules, and regulations.
We know that you will enjoy your stay!
Please Note:
The home is undergoing extensive renovations and will be ready by Thanksgiving 2020. We will be updating the photos as the spaces are finished and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
The pool will be open from May to October, and heated from late June to early September, weather permitting. The hot tub is open year-round.
A generator will power the estate in the event of a power outage.
We must be informed of all events on the property.

Wonderful Vermont Experience

This property was perfect for our reunion for our family of 28! We filled up the house and the guest house with all our family members. There's a great backyard with an amazing table that seated our whole family, two BBQs, a hot tub, pool, and a game room (located in the guest house). Dmitry was also very helpful with answering our many questions prior to arriving, during the trip, and even after the trip when a few family members left items behind. We had a true Vermont experience with a bear in the neighborhood trying to get into the garbage shed. As soon as we let Dmitry know he drove by to help us out and patched up the shed in the pouring rain so we wouldn't have any more problems. We had a few other minor questions and needs and he was quick to accommodate us.
There is a lake within 15 min walking distance and about 3.5 minute driving distance away. The kids had so much fun there. We also found multiple places to hike within 15 minutes of the house. We celebrated 4 birthday parties and had so much space to lounge and hang out as a family. The concierge service also helped us set up a yoga class at the house! You will not regret your trip to Wilmington and staying at this house.

Wonderful Stay in Vermont!

We had a wonderful stay at this property for a family reunion with 19 family members ranging in age from 1 year old to 76 years old.
The house had PLENTY of space with comfortable bedrooms and a lot of areas to hang out (backyard, main living room, game room, kitchen area). Our kids LOVED the pool and hot tub and the house was incredibly comfortable and had all of the amenities we could ask for.
The property manager was very responsive (we had an issue with the WiFi one day but it was quickly resolved) and were in constant communication ensuring that we had a great stay.
There were a lot of activities in the area that we enjoyed (hikes/walks, fishing & swimming at the Harriman reservoir, renting a boat from High Country Marine, white water rafting, etc.) so we had a wonderful week enjoying all that Vermont has to offer.
I highly recommend this property to anyone that has a large group and like the outdoors and a beautiful setting in beautiful Vermont. No complaints at all, we would come back for sure.
